He was born in Charleston, WV, on September 5th, 1937, the son of Henry and Violet Jones.
Henry was a hardworking man and retired from his duties at the age of 76. He was a Christian and longtime member of Point Lick Gospel Tabernacle.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Kenneth, William (Billy), and Louetta Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Jean Jones; son, Hank Jones (Eileen); daughter, Jill Gentry (Mark); granddaughter, Cierra Jones (Nychelle); siblings, Jackie, Luther (Bubby), David, and Virgil.
A celebration of Henry's life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, W.Va., with Allen Wolfe and Rev. Larry Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
