Dennis S. Ellis, 59, of Fountain Hill, passed from this life on Friday, April 26, 2019 in Little Rock. Dennis was a native and lifelong resident of Fountain Hill. He graduated from Fountain Hill High School in 1978 and was a member of the Eden Baptist Church. Dennis was a Mason, a member of the Masonic Prairie Lodge #465 in Hamburg and was a Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Mason. He loved being at his camp on the Saline River, sitting by a fire, with his wife, and when he was able, he enjoyed putting out and running trotlines. Dennis and his wife enjoyed riding motorcycles with his ABATE friends. He loved all animals, especially his dogs, Trixie and Callie and his cats, Patches and Fuzzy.
He is preceded in death by his father, Sherwood “Buddy” Ellis in March of this year and his father-in-law, Joe Wheeler.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Beverly J. Wheeler Ellis of Fountain Hill; his sons, Chris Watt and wife, Mandy, of Monticello and Michael Watt and wife, Laura, of Vilonia; his mother, Allene Shelton Ellis; a brother, Ernie Ellis and wife, Deedee, all of Fountain Hill; his mother-in-law, Fannie Wheeler; his brothers-in-law, Ronnie Wheeler and wife, Becky, Paul Wheeler and wife, Yahanna, all of Crossett and Randy Wheeler of Marble Falls, Texas; seven grandchildren, Austin Watt, Aubrey Watt, Kason Watt, Jase Watt, Maylee Claire Watt, Cody Marlin, and A.J. Marlin and wife, Kaylee; three nieces, Amy Martin and husband, Brandon, Katie Harrison, Robyn Harrison; three nephews, Wesley Ellis and wife, Molly, Jackson Harrison and Terry Harrison and wife, Lauren; two great-nieces, Felicity Harrison and Skyler Martin; three great-nephews, Roland James Ellis, Peyton Martin and Waylon Harrison and other family members and friends.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2019, at the Eden Baptist Church with Bro. Ricky Watt, Bro. Scott Wheeler and Bro. J.W. Dobbins officiating. Burial will be full Masonic Honors in the Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers are Austin Watt, Aubrey Watt, Cody Marlin, Kason Watt, Wesley Ellis, Jackson Harrison, Jase Watt, A.J. Marlin. Honorary pallbearers are Maylee Claire Watt and the ABATE District 18 Southeast Arkansas Members. Memorials may be made to the Prarie Lodge #465, c/o Mr. Tim Collier, 521 W.
