Ramona I. Coleman
MANCHESTER -- Ramona Irene (Smith) Coleman, 46, of Manchester, died Saturday evening at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born May 25, 1950, in Southern Pines, N.C., the daughter of Raymond and Irene (Knight) Smith.

On June 22, 1969, she married Jerome Coleman, and together they started their life in Vermont. Mrs. Coleman was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, and the Eagles of Manchester Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a successful gardener and an accomplished artist. She enjoyed her life and loved her family.

Besides her husband, she leaves her parents, Raymond and Irene Smith of Jamaica; a son, Joshua Coleman of Manchester; a daughter, Camille Renee Coleman, also of Manchester; four brothers, Peter Smith, Raymond Smith Jr., Russell Smith, and Romaine Smith, all of Jamaica; a sister, Rhonda Brown of Jamaica; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Community Church of Jamaica. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Brewster Funeral Service in Manchester Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Manchester Rescue Squad, the Manchester Fire Department, or Manchester Health Services, and sent c/o Brewster Funeral Service, P.O. Box 885, Manchester Center, Vt. 05255.
