Earl Allen, 82, passed away April 25, 2019 at his home in Roy, Utah. He was born December 26, 1936 in Riverdale, Utah to Maurice Allen and Harriet Shiner. He graduated from Weber High School.

Earl married Elaine West on September 14, 1956 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised four daughters.

He retired from Bowman’s Market. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and spending time with his family.

Earl is survived by his wife, Elaine and his four daughters; Cindy (John) Whipple, Tammy (Bruce) Nelson, Karen (Neale) Bennett, and Cheryl (Jon) Humphris; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. His two brothers, Glen Allen and Lloyd Allen, brother in-law, Neil (Joanne) West, and sister in-law, Una Jean (Gary) Peterson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Francis Shiner, brother, Dwaine Allen, sister, Linda Bowman, sister in-laws, LaRae Allen, Carol Allen and Luana Allen. His in-laws, Glenn and Theresa West, and brother in-law, Delwin West.

The family would like to give special thanks to Annette Wood, Ina Marcus, Canyon Hospice, and Dr. Faucett for their loving care of our husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Roy City Cemetery, 5200 South 2300 West, Roy, Utah.

Services under the direction of Myers Roy Mortuary.
