Lee Edward Gilbert Jr., 46, of Wolcott, CT, passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2018.
Born in Ashland, PA on May 30, 1972, he was the son of the late Lee Edward Gilbert Sr. and Elaine Marie (Shuey). Growing up in Ringtown, PA, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a proud member of the North Schuylkill Wrestling Team and a 1990 graduate of North Schuylkill High School. Lee was a decorated Gulf War Veteran as he served in the US Navy on the U.S.S. Dallas based out of Groton, CT. He later joined the City of Waterbury Police force where he served as a Police Officer for 10 years. In his free time, Lee loved to play deck hockey, go paintballing with his friends and go scuba diving.
Lee leaves behind to cherish his memory, two daughters; Samantha Ann Gilbert and Alexa Mae Gilbert both of Plymouth, CT as well as his siblings; Jeremy Gilbert of Rio Grande, NJ, Kathleen Gilbert of Tamaqua, PA, Patrick Gilbert of East Haven, CT and Megan Glover of Sterling, AK.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 4 – 5:45 PM at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. A prayer will be held at 5:45 PM after the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
