Services for Terry D. Lomax, 76, of 2700 W. 16th, an Amarillo restaurateur who died yesterday, will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel.
Dr. Winfred Moore, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Mr. Lomax was born in Meridian and had lived in Amarillo more than 60 years.
In 1930, he opened his Original Mexican Inn which he sold in 1946 to go into the seafood business with the Marine Grill at 1404 W. 10th.
He traded the grill for a motel in Truth or Consequences, N.M., and sold that in 1951 to open the El Rancho restaurant at 3505 Fillmore.
In 1960, he built a new El Rancho in South Amarillo and sold that property in 1975.
His first job in Amarillo had been as a movie projectionist.
Survivors include his widow, Mary; a son, Terry of Amarillo; two daughters, Mrs. Bill Shugart and Mrs. Charles Massey, both of Amarillo; a sister, Mrs. Frank Farris of Wichita, Kan.; a brother, Jack of Lubbock; a stepson, Jerry Masterson of Dayton, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
