Funeral services for Jerry Trigg Sr., 84, of Prairie Point, are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Monday, April 29, 2019 at First Rosston Church with Rev. Larry Krueger officiating. Interment will follow at Rosston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 28 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Trigg passed away April 25, 2019 in Gainesville.

Jerry was born July 6, 1934 in Shreveport, LA to Vincent Calhoun Trigg Jr. and Baby Ruth “Lucy” (Turner) Poe. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Mr. Trigg married Treva Richardson in Ardmore, OK on September 29, 1958. He had a successful career in retail car sales and was an avid golfer and pool player. For many years, Mr. Trigg organized a charitable golf tournament benefiting Cook Children’s Hospital.

Survivors include: daughter Lisa Trigg of Seattle, WA; daughter Judith F. Radford of Gainesville; son Wendell R. Trigg of Seattle, WA; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and brother Billy Poe and friend Beth of Greenville.

Mr. Trigg was preceded in death by: his parents; wife of 53 years, Treva Trigg; son Jerry Trigg Jr.; sister Faye Dlabaj; and sister Judy Judge.
