Gladys ''Sally'' Faunce Salter, 80, died Saturday at Bourne Manor Extended Care Facility after a long illness. She was the wife of Harold W. Salter, who died in 1994. They were married 47 years. Mrs. Salter was born and raised in Dartmouth and was employed in the accounting department at the Continental Screw Co. in New Bedford from 1963 until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, braided rug making and her pet cat. Survivors include a son, Russell W. Salter of Falmouth; a brother, Linwood D. Faunce of Buhl, Idaho, two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
