She was married at home at 1308 Pine Street, Sedalia, Missouri on October 28, 1908 to Cye "Wallace" Latimer (1876-1961), the son of Tom Latimer and Sarah (Oliver) Latimer of Nashville, Tennessee.
Living at the Tennessee State Prison Farm in rural Nashville, Bessie was 65 years old and married when she died of a cerebral thrombosis on May 7, 1951 at Vanderbilt Hospital. Burial was the next day in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville.
