A number of years ago, I had taken a picture of portraits of Joseph Johnson and his wife that hang in the Nahant Library. At the time I was told that it was Mary Polly Cox. I have learned now through additional confirmation at the Nahant Historical Society that it is actually his second wife, Betsey Graves. They were painted by Frank Haynes in 1845.
