Henry L. Pate, 76, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. He was born in Senoia, Georgia on October 6, 1942 to Henry Grady Pate & Georgie Susie Mae Partain Pate. He served the United States Army honorably from 1962 to 1965. He moved to Hobbs, NM in 1976. He married, Judy Hancock, on April 29, 1977 and they shared 42 years together. Henry was a "jack of all trades" and a devout follower of Christ. He had his own mobile home repair service. Henry retired with Key Energy after 26 years of dedication and service. Shortly after realizing retirement didn’t suit him, he went to work part-time as a Sales Consultant for Howard Supply. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and 4 sisters, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, one brother-in-law, and his son (Henry Joseph "Joe"). Henry is survived by his wife; Judy, daughter; Angel West (Ellis) of Pine Mountain, GA, daughter; Kim Baker (Britt) of Columbus, GA, son; Trevor McDermott (Diane) of Albuquerque, NM, daughter; Shelley Lee (Darin) of Hobbs, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, his brother Alton Pate (Linda) of Harlson, GA, brother-in-law; Joe K. Hancock (Marie) of Llano, TX, sister-in-law; Tommye Markham of Alvord, TX, along with numerous nieces and nephews, honorary children and honorary grandchildren.
