Clara Mae (Neuhaus) Woodley went to be with the Lord on this day, April 23, 2019, at the age of 80. She was at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri in the presence of her two children.

Clara was born on August 20, 1938 near Dumont, Iowa in Butler County to Heinrich and Clara (Wiedau) Neuhaus. Clara attended school at Dumont Community School, and graduated from the class of 1956. In 1957 she moved to Washington D.C. and worked as a civilian secretary for the United States Navy. She returned to Iowa in 1958, where she worked for the Department of Agriculture in Des Moines.

On April 9, 1960, Clara was united in marriage to the love of her life, Darland Charles Woodley, at the Dumont Reformed Church. They were married for 55 years until Darland's passing in 2015. From this union two children were born; Darla in 1961 and Clark in 1963. They lived on the family farm near Dumont, Iowa. Clara worked side by side with her husband farming while raising their family. They attended the Church of Christ in Bristow, Iowa. In 1982, Darland and Clara made their home near Willow Springs, Missouri. Through the years Clara managed a restaurant in Iowa and was the secretary for a doctor's office in Missouri, until retirement. Clara and Darland were avid gardeners. They shared the garden's abundance with everyone and enjoyed canning as well. They loved traveling back to Iowa to visit family and friends, stopping at every yard sale and antique shop along the way.
