Amy Lois Moore, age 94, Harrodsburg, widow of James Russell "Russ" Moore Jr., passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at her home in Harrodsburg. Born July 4, 1924 in Ashville, AL, she was the daughter of the late David and Rosie (Duncan) Dockery. She attended Ashville Schools in Alabama and was an inspector for Avon Tubing in Rochester, MI; she was a quilter, gardener, kept her 1999 Oldsmobile spotless, was very kind and generous to all her friends and neighbors and was a member of the Eller’s Memorial Baptist Church in Harrodsburg.Survivors include: two daughters Shirley Carrol Morris of Harrodsburg and Geneva Lee of Covington, GA, twelve grandchildren, Renee Steele, Amy Lisa Kreski, Robert Sample, Matt Lee, Rachael King, Jordan Moore, Carl Moore, Caleb Moore, Sarah Bezdzucki, Christen Samuel, Katie Harris and Rayna Bryant/Ott; also surviving are Jim (Kathy) Moore, Rosemary (Larry) McDuffy, Karen Moore, Peggy (Larry) Monahan; nine great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and special friends Alice and Tonya. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter D’Lois G. Bryant, three brothers Virgil, Ray and Wallace Dockery and three sisters Beatrice Freeman, Bessie Freeman and Myrtie Cowart. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm, Monday, April 29, 2019 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. Rick Bolton. Graveside services will be held at Christian Memorial Gardens in Rochester, MI on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm.Visitation will be Monday, April 29, 2019 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Sims Funeral Services.
