Bonnie Rose was born in Cheoah, Graham, North Carolina on November 5, 1891 to Albert Jackson Rose and Florence Sneed. Florence Sneed is listed as 1/8 Cherokee on the 1924 Baker Roll. Bonnie Rose passed away before the Baker Roll was compiled. Bonnie is listed on many Indian census rolls as well as the Guion Miller Roll (#2220) and the Churchill Roll #555

Bonnie's middle name, Anna, is listed on her daughter Stella's marriage record. This is the only record of her middle name I can locate at this time. Family members have told me her full name is Bonnie Anna Laura Rose.

Bonnie married Jacob Robert Morgan in Graham County, North Carolina on June 13, 1911. The ceremony took place at the home of her family member and minister, George "Georgie" Washington Slaughter. Witnesses were family members Mary Sneed, Jacob Slaughter and wife of "Georgie" Angeline Slaughter.

To this marriage were born Mary Agnes, Rena Carmen, William Albert, Stella Mae and Carroll Virginia.

Bonnie died at an early age of 32. Indian census records from June 30. 1922 show her as living. The Indian census record from June 30. 1923 shows her as deceased. By June 30, 1925 her children are listed as living with their father, Jacob Morgan and his new wife, Nora Patterson.

Cemetery information taken from records compiled by the Historical Records Survey of North Carolina 1937 by worker Wilson Griffith. This record states that Bonnie Morgan, wife of J. R. Morgan, is buried in the Holloway Cemetery. The Holloway Cemetery here on Find A Grave does not list her burial. This leads me to believe she does not have a marker. This record lists her death date as 1-1-1923. I cannot confirm that date, so I will use 1923. Her date of birth is confirmed in a Cherokee file called Special Commissioner of the Court of Claims Florence Rose Birth. This file is confirming Florence's birth, but also lists her children.
