Funeral services for Kelly Wayne Patrick, 52, of Rowlett, formerly of Mabank, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Chaplain Denny Burris officiating. Family will welcome friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service. Honorary pallbearers: Collin Brown, Taylor Brown, Perry Ray, Justin LeRoy, Carson Pope, Randy Bowles, Rick Moosbrugger, and Randy Kuykendall
He passed Saturday night, April 20, 2019, in Dallas, TX surrounded by his family, best friends, and dog-daughter Sierra.
Kelly was born March 22, 1967, in Houston, the son of Lyndon E. Patrick and Beverly Ann Miller Patrick. He was raised in Mabank and was a graduate of Mabank High School in 1986. He attended Eastfield College and later, East Texas Police Academy. Kelly was formerly employed by the Wills Point Police Department as a Sergeant for six years and was currently employed for the past eight years by Parker University in Dallas, where he was the Director of Security. On July 16, 2018, he married Christina Thomas Patrick. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his daughters, often calling them "PUNK" and always making them laugh. He loved watching his grandchildren play many sports. He enjoyed wood working, making furniture, boating, hunting and fishing with his dad and his nephews. He loved taking his wife out for sushi and watching The Voice. Kelly was a Christian and loved attending church with his wife and kids every Sunday at Firewheel Bible Church.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Smith & Lois Rosebud Patrick and Arthur James & Minnie Lee Miller.
Kelly is survived by his wife, Christina Patrick; parents, Lyndon & Beverly Patrick; daughters, Shelby Patrick LeRoy & husband, Justin, Bailee Patrick and Hadlee Patrick; sister, Shelly Brown Qualls & husband, Robert; nephews, Taylor Brown and Collin Brown; special aunts & uncles, Patsy Miller, Helen Westmoreland & husband, Mike and Melton Miller & wife, Tricia; grandchildren, Carson Pope, Tatum LeRoy, Wyatt LeRoy and Kristopher Pope; dog-daughter, Sierra Patrick; step-children, Perry Ray, Brandy Ray, Kendall Thomas and Trenton Thomas; step-grandchildren, Kasen Puckett and Aurora Puckett; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don & Judy Thomas.
