He was the son of the late Paul and Sarah Jane Meyer. He was a 1978 graduate of Norwell High School and received his Bachelors Degree in Physics and Computer Science and always strived to learn. Jeffrey was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and also served in the Indiana Air National Guard for 4 years. He was a fire fighter with the Fort Wayne Fire Dept for 24 years, Fort Wayne Air Service for 27 years and Harris Corp Aerospace Division since 2009. He was best known for being humble and active listener. No problem could elude his hardworking attitude. He would brighten up a room with his big sense of humor. He enjoyed playing guitar, Qi Gong and reading and vacationing on the beach.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife of 34 years, Danette; sons, Miles A Meyer and Leighton J Meyer both of Fort Wayne, IN; sisters, Jackie (Robert) Ely of Montgomery, AL and Debra Nutter of Fort Wayne, IN; brother, Doug Meyer of Fort Collins, CO; Aunt Ida Aschliman of Bluffton, IN and 5 nieces and nephews and several cousins.
Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
