LORETTA "JANE" FIDLER BURNER, 88, of The Woodlands, Texas, was called to her eternal home on Friday, January 29, 2010. Throughout her career, Jane was employed as both executive secretary and legal secretary in the oil and gas industry, working for Sohio Petroleum Company, P. R. Rutherford Oil Co., and Newmont Oil Company, before starting her own business, San Jacinto Secretarial Service, in downtown Houston. She culminated her distinguished career when she retired from The Williams Companies, Inc. in Houston, Texas in 1992.As a single mother, Jane devoted her life to raising her daughter, Sharon, and no child was more loved. She also had a special place in her heart for animals, most especially her dogs, and she fully expected to join them all in heaven. Jane had a passion for music, and she was an accomplished pianist and organist. She also loved traveling, especially driving trips, and she "hit the road" every chance she got--usually to the mountains out West which, at her request, will be her final resting place.
