He moved with his family to Huntsville, Alabama, where he later graduated from Oakwood Academy and later pursued a higher education at Oakwood University. He is the second oldest of five children: Regina Mardnice, Felicia Sueretta, Bruce Edward and Phillip Don.
He meet his wife, Mary M. Cartwright of 38 years in the 1980’s in Toney, Alabama. From the moment they meet their lives were intertwined. They were baptized together at First SDA Church in Huntsville, Alabama. They continued their journey together and had their two son’s: Michael Jamar and Adam Jerrod and later moved their family to Greensboro, North Carolina.
He was a loving and caring father, uncle and brother who put family first at all cost. He always kept his family encouraged and focused on God. Like many, Michael was not immune to the trials and tribulations of this earth. This gave him motive to use his life’s journey to testify on how God will move mountains and promote change for his children.
He will live on through the memories of his wife: Mary M. Lee; his sons: Michael Lee (Angel Lee), Adam Lee (Jessica Kornegay Lee); his grandchildren: Aniya Lee, Michael Lee Jr.; his sisters: Regina Aliche, Felicia Troxler (Gary Troxler Sr.); his brothers: Bruce Lee (Patricia Lee), Phillip Lee (Samantha Lee); his nieces: Solnice Aliche (Loren Miller), Arenn Aliche, Awndrea Troxler, Taylor Lee; his nephews: Kyle Lee, Gary Troxler Jr. (Sharell Troxler), Anthony Green.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2019 at the Royal Chapel of Memories (4315 Oakwood Avenue, NW Huntsville, AL 35810). Internment will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace. Mr. Lee will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
