Gregory T. Monroe, 66, of Youngstown, NY, entered into rest on Monday, April 15, 2019 at home in Youngstown. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, on September 4, 1952, he was the son of the late Henry W. and the late Dorothy Hayes Monroe.
Greg graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School class of 1971. He served in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1975. Greg was employed by the Lewiston-Porter School district as a janitor, retiring in 2008 after 25 years. He was a past assistant coach for the Lew-Port Soccer Team.
Surviving are his siblings, Pamela (Robert) Hill of Youngstown, NY, Susan Schmitt (Chris Neils) of Clifton Park, NY, Lisa (David) Ludwig of Highland, NY, and Robert (Joy) Monroe of Newfane, NY; also nine nieces and nephews; and 11 great-nieces and great-nephews; aunts, uncles and several special friends.
NO PRIOR VISITATION. Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 26th at 11:00 AM in Oakland Rural Cemetery, Lake Rd. Youngstown, NY.
