Services for ELbert Lee "Buck" Files, Dewar, will be at 10 a.m. February 15 in the Dewar First Baptist Church, with Rev. Tony Randol officiating and Rev. Jack Vance assisting. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, directed by Shurden Funeral Home.
Files died Feb 12 in Heneryetta. He was 82.
Fiels, a retired smelter employee, was born March 20, 1906, in Albion, OK. He married Ida Sturkie on Dec. 21, 1940, in Van Buren, Ark. Files served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was a member of the Dewar First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his widow, Ida; a daughter, Ann Hamilton, Henryetta,; a grandson, Todd Hamilton, Owasso; and nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be A.B. "Bozie" Files, Arvie Files, Leon Files, Max Terry Files, Jack Gilbert, Carthol Phillips, Gregg Phillips and Mark Phillips. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Dewar First Baptist Church's men's adult Sunday School class.
