Funeral services for Shelia Louise Green, 53, of Ferrday, LA will be held Friday, April 19, 2019 at 10:00am from the Sixth Street Church of God in Christ with Elder Joe Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez, MS. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Green, daughter of Willie and Bernice King Green, was born in Ferriday and died at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. She was a member of the Sixth Street Church of God in Christ and a US Navy Veteran having served from December 5, 1990 to April 22, 1994. She received an honorable discharge from the military.
Her survivors are: her loving daughter, Courtney Green; four sisters, Faye King and Florida Miller all of Ferriday; Cynthia Green of Lake Charles, LA; Linda Mazique of Natchez; five brothers, Larry Green and Kitress Williams of Ferriday; Earl Green of Orlando, FL; Henry Oliver Green and his wife, Amanda of California; Ronnie Elmore and his wife Sharon of Natchez. Also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Green is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth Green and Rufus Elmore.
