Retired “Fire Chief” Willard C. Stone, of Milton, FL, peacefully passed on the morning of April 20, 2019, at the age of 65.
Willard will forever be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, friend, and humble accomplished man. He dedicated two and half years as a Specialist Four RA in the U.S. Army and retired as a Fire Chief from the NAS Whiting Field Fire Department with 30 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lillie Mae Stone and Henry Curtis Stone; and brother Richard Eugene Thurmond.
Willard is survived by his loving children Leslie (Charles) Revill, Jillian (Shane) Williamson, Kristen (Shane) Livingston and Kara Stone. Sister Barbara (Keith) and brother Henry as well as a proud grandfather of Taylor, Hunter, Hayden, Daylin, Meagan, Emma, and another boy on the way. He is survived by many other relatives and an abundance of friends.
Funeral services will be held at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel on Wednesday April 24, 2019 at 3:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM prior to funeral. Burial will follow at Ard Field Church of Christ Cemetery.
