Billy Fleming, fondly known as Bill by his family and friends, received his Heavenly reward on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019 at the age of 76. The son of Charles and Viola (Hyde) Fleming, Bill was born on December 25, 1942 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Bill grew up, attended schools and graduated from Rattan High School in Rattan, Oklahoma. He continued his education at Southeastern College in Wilburton, Oklahoma. On August 25, 1962, Bill married his sweetheart, Lucretia “Lu” Adams and they were blessed with a daughter, Pamela Gale and son, Bryan Keith. In addition to being a great husband and devoted father, Bill was also a good provider for his family. He retired after 50 years of dedicated service working in the automotive parts industry for H&H, Save Auto PMA (Parts Marketing), DWI (Distributors Warehouse), Star Automotive, and Uni-select. A longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Newcastle, Bill loved the Lord and teaching his kids how to water ski, fish and hunt. An avid hunter and fisherman, if Bill wasn’t on hunting or fishing trip, he was planning one! He had fished Alaska, Canada, Sturgeon Bay, Grand Lake, Texoma and all over Oklahoma fishing bass tournaments with Lu. He hunted Dall sheep in the Northwestern Territories, Oryx, Elk and Antelope in New Mexico and Colorado, Mule deer in Utah, Whitetail deer in Oklahoma and several other places. Bill was also a great story teller and enjoyed reading about Native-American history. Bill was proud to have provided the first Newcastle Racer Go-Cart for the high school football team and enjoyed watching it on Friday nights at the games. He was a wonderful Godly family man who will be deeply missed.
