Patrick James Corcoran, 71, died Thursday April 18, 2019, after a brief battle with Lymphoma.

Patrick was born in Philadelphia on December 22, 1947. He was the middle child of Michael and Mary Corcoran and is survived by 2 loving brothers Terence Corcoran (Jane) and Dennis Corcoran (Henrietta).

Patrick was preceded in death by the love of his life Mary (née Thomas) whom he met in high school. It was love at first sight, and they married soon after and welcomed 4 children, Mary Patrice Palmer, Colleen Obozian (Jack), Michael Corcoran (Kris), and Kathleen Flemming (John). Patrick was a kind, genuine, loving, generous and fun spirited man who found great joy in spending time with his family, including his niece Heather Corcoran and nephews Tim Corcoran (Jessica), Noel Corcoran (Kristen) and Sean Corcoran, along with his great nieces and nephews. Nothing, however, brought him greater joy than spoiling his grandchildren Kirsten, Michaela and JT. He was a man that loved a good nap and was quick with a joke. He had a distinct whistle, and animals loved him because they always knew a treat was on the way when he arrived. He was easy going, seemed to find something in common with everyone he met and could be counted on to insert his sense of humor in the retelling of stories.

Many years after Mary passed, Patrick was lucky enough to find a great friend and companion in Eileen Fitzpatrick. Together, they had many great adventures, and he quickly became a part of her family as well. Patrick spent the last 4 years of his life with Eileen, traveling the world and taking long walks on the boardwalk in Ocean City. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Relatives and friends are invited to share in Pat's Life Celebration Thursday, April 25, 2019, starting 9:30 AM followed by his funeral mass 11:00 AM at St. Albert the Great Church, 212 Welsh Rd., Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
