Jane Pincock Atkinson, an elect lady, passed away peacefully at the age of 69 on April 17, 2019, at her home in Pocatello, Idaho surrounded by family. Jane was born March 29, 1950, in Pocatello to Kenton R and Shirley Almira Pincock.

She graduated from Pocatello High School and 4-year Seminary in 1968, and was a member of Lambda Delta Sigma at the Idaho State University LDS Institute.

She married Ron L. Atkinson on June 12, 1970, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

Jane worked at Albertson’s, IB&T, Union Pacific Railroad, and Stokes Grocery, but her most meaningful and enjoyable employment included 13 years as a bus driver and 7 years as the dispatcher for School District 25.

Jane was a hard worker. Her energy and enthusiasm were boundless, and she always went the extra mile in everything she did. She served faithfully throughout her life in various auxiliaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some of her favorite callings were Ward Activity Committee Leader, YW President, Primary Nursery Leader, and Cub Scouts.

Jane loved being a homemaker and spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening and canning with her husband, and they willingly shared their bounteous harvest with others.

Her children and grandchildren were the delights of her life. Each one felt special. Jane loved attending their activities and taking them on many adventures.

Jane’s testimony of the Savior was evident as she lived a Christ-like life, and her service to others impacted many lives. She had great compassion and love for all, and she always welcomed everyone with a big smile.

Her unwavering love and support will be truly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, and her special friend, Marshall Hill.

Jane is survived by her husband, Ron; son Brian (Tracy) Atkinson of Boise, ID; daughter Jeanette (Troy) Gunnell of Smithfield, UT; 7 grandchildren—Christian, Connor, and Jordan Atkinson, and Mason, Mikayla, Lexi and Jaxson Gunnell; brothers David (Connie) Pincock of Idaho Falls, ID, Richard (Becky) Pincock and William (Marilyn) Pincock both of Pocatello, ID; and sister Alice (Larry) Ricks of Nephi, UT.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents.
