ANN PINKERTON RANNEY (nee Margaret Ann Ondrey). Ann was the daughter of the late Emil and Margaret Ondrey. She was the wife of Phillip A. Ranney of Shaker Hts., OH and the late Kenneth J. Pinkerton. Ann was the mother of Christopher (Elizabeth) and Tim (Brittany) Pinkerton and the stepmother of Becki Anders (Wally), Jill Roman (Dan), and Debra Patterson (Bill). She was the loving grandmother of Charlie, Bennett and Cooper Pinkerton, and the step-grandmother of Peter, Molly and Margaux.

Ann was very active in the Northeast Ohio civic community. She served as President of the Rainbow Babies and Children's Foundation. She was also a Trustee of University Hospitals CMC Board of Trustees for over 30 years where she served on several committees and served as Chair of the Quality Committee. Ann was most passionate about the quality of care and patient satisfaction. Ann was also a Trustee of University School and University Circle, where she served on its Executive Committee, and of the John Huntington Foundation for Education. She was a past President of Fairhill Center and Trustee of Benjamin Rose Institute. She was a consultant of the 1525 Foundation and The Kent H. Smith Charitable Trust and the Business Manager of the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation.

The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in her name to Rainbow Babies & Children's Foundation, c/o University Hospitals, 11100 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106 or University Circle, Inc., 10831 Magnolia Dr., Cleveland, OH 44106.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, Jan. 18, at 11:00 AM in The Church of the Gesu, 2470 Miramar Blvd., University Hts., OH 44118.
