OBITUARY: Cindy S Munson

Gonzales Inquirer Feb. 20, 1902

Died, At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Clark, at Rancho, Feb. 17, 1902, Mr. George Gaylord, aged 78 years. The remains will be interred in the Antioch cemetery by the Leesville Masonic lodge. By the sad announcement many hearts are deeply bowed in sorrow for the departed friend, good man and true Christian. Though his death was not unexpected for he had been in delicate health for several years, still we lose the pleasure of seeing his kind and pleasant face and hear his soft and gently voice no more. The sorrow sinks much deeper with those who knew him for his life was full of good and helpful deeds and words. He was an active Christian worker in the Baptist church and always at his post when his health would admit. He leaves a wife, several children and other relatives and a host of friends here and elsewhere to mourn his loss
