Died: May 5, 2018; in Barrington, IL

Judy "Mrs. C" Carlson, age 81, of Cary passed away May 5, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Judy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Art "Mr. C" Carlson; daughters, Kelly Weaver and Kristi Butkus (Mike); daughter in law, Randi Carlson; and her grandchildren, Michael (Kelly), Lauren, Johnathon, Gillian and Craig.

She is preceded in death by her son, Dave; son in law, Kevin; and great granddaughter, Bailey Rose.

For those of you fortunate to know Judy, you know she was the life of the party! After meeting Art at Knox college and getting married, Judy was a K-2 grade school teacher until she had their 3 children. As, an exceptional cook, her dream was to have a restaurant. She and Art opened The Kelsey Road House in the basement of their home in 1973. Mrs. C was the heart of the restaurant and devoted herself to her employees, customers and providing just good food and drink. Until her retirement in 1997 you could find Judy hostessing, bartending or working in the kitchen. She loved entertaining and threw some of the most epic parties! She was a wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Her kindness, warmth and quick wit will be missed every day.

Come join Mr. C and the rest of the Carlson family to have a beer, pizza and celebrate Judy's Life on May 27th, 2:00 to 6:00pm at The Kelsey Road House 352 Kelsey Road, Barrington 60010. There will be pictures of staff and customers from the Kelsey days and from recent times as well. Let's reunite and share stories!

"Mrs. C would be so happy to be with you all again. She loved all of you. " Mr. C
