Ronald G. Roberts, 50, of Carbondale, ILL., passed away at 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2007, at his residence.
Ronald had worked in the shipping department at the Southern Illinoisan. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was born August 13, 1956 at Newport, AR, the son of Marshall and Oletia J. (Morgan) Roberts.
He married Elizabeth Ann Harris in 1990 and she preceded him in death in March of 2005.
He is survived by his mother - Oletia J. Hestand of Dowell, one brother - Dale Dewayne Roberts of El Paso, TX, three uncles - Harold Morgan, L.E. Morgan, and Jerry Haggenmacher, and one aunt - Riti Poilette.
He was preceded in death by his father, his wife, and one son.
Graveside services were held at the Monette Memorial Cemetery at Monette, AR. Arrangments were by the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin. Interment was in the Monette Memorial Cemetery at Monette, AR, under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.
