Carl Eugene Woods, 71, of High Hill, Missouri, passed away on April 19, 2019 at his residence in High Hill, Missouri. He was born on March 15, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas and was the son of the late Carl Chasley Woods and Viola Betrice (Hampton) Murphy. Carl was united in marriage to Patricia Ann (Uebinger) Welch.
Carl graduated from Rittner High School in 1966. He joined the United States Army in September 12, 1967, served his country in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged on April 22,1978. He worked for Arkansas Freightways until his retirement. Carl enjoyed hot rods, music, sports especially football and MMA Fights.
He is survived by one daughter and two sons: Kelly Lynn Mitts and fiancé Richard Hamilton of Elsberry, Missouri, Carl Eugene Woods II and his wife Ceecee of Wentzville, Missouri and Joshua Lee Woods of Foley, Missouri; one sister, Helen Shrek and husband Vince of Beebe, Arkansas; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings.
