Gloria was born on October 5, 1951 in Sweeney, TX. She was a former probation officer and private duty nurse.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Rayfield Curry; Douglas Curry, and Joe Murray.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Alexander; sons, George Charles, Jr.; daughters, Yulonda Curry, and Tameka Lawler; eight grandchildren; parents, T. Bertha Murray and Ray Curry; brothers, Gastionia Waddy, Jr.; Elijah Curry; Rudy W. Curry; Willie L Turner; Leonard E. Turner, and George L. Turner; sisters, Janice Edward, and Julia Turner; uncle, John Loving (Shirley); aunt, Joann Loving; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2008, followed by funeral service at 1: 00 p.m. in the chapel of E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary with the Rev. Eric Billips officiating.
Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery.
