For seven seasons (1990 to 1996), he played at the running back position in the National Football League with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets. Born Reginald John Cobb, he made his initial mark on the football field during his years at Central High School in Tennessee. He played collegiate football at the University of Tennessee, where he became one of the school's all time greats. Selected by Tampa Bay during the 2nd round of the 1990 NFL Draft, he totaled 92 career regular season games. In 1992, he distinguished himself when he rushed for 1,171 yards with 9 touchdowns. He was a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars during their inaugural season (1995). After retiring as a player, he served as a scout with the San Francisco 49ers. He died from a heart attack.
