Son of Edward James and Margaret (Hogan) Meagher. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943-1947. He served as a pilot with the 416th bomb group, 668th Bomb Squadron, and flew 65 combat missions out of England and France. He flew 2 missions on D-Day and was awarded 13 Air Medals, a Distinguished Flying Cross and several Campaign Medals, and the Purple Heart on his 65th Mission. He was in the office forms business for over 50 years and ran his own company, Office Systems, in Cleveland. He was preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Barbara G (Babs) Gregory Meagher; sons, Thomas Gregory III, and Michael Gregory; and siblings, Edward Meagher III, Pierce Meagher, Mary Little, Margaret Driscoll, and John Meagher. Surviving are his son, John Lee (Sandy), Bonnie Gregory Hanus (Jim), Christine Gregory, Nancy Gregory McSherry, and Katie Gregory (Pablo Rodriquez); grandchildren, Barney Lee, Johnathan Lee, Kathryn Lee Lavis, Veronica Gregory (Jeff), Joseph McSherry, Emily McSherry, Katie and Aaron Schneider, Toby Hanus, Liz and Brian Boyle; sister, Alice Kelly of Bartlett, IL; and three great-grandchildren.
