John Wright Forrest, age 68, of Miami, Florida, transitioned to his spiritual home on April 9, 2019. He was born on February 13,1951 in Miami, Florida and was the son of the late Eleanor Camille Forrest and John William Forrest. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ronalee Forrest Williams. John graduated from Miami Coral Park Senior High and attended Miami-Dade Community College. His achievements included being an expert plumber and pipefitter who spent his life working on constructing and refitting electric power plants across the Eastern United States. He was a wonderful, loving and caring father, grandfather and close companion to his friend, Elaine Berman and will be greatly missed. His graveside service will be held at Woodlawn South Cemetery in Miami. In lieu of flowers, please send a memorial contribution to Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University 1365 Clifton Rd. Atlanta, Georgia 30322. His favorite and most memorable quote was, "It is what it is," which helped him live a more peaceful life.
