HARRIS SR. Curtis Preston April 18, 2019 Curtis Preston Harris Sr., 72, of Radford, Va., passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2019. He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Turner Harris; father, Raymond Newton Harris. Curtis is survived by his sons, Curtis Preston Jr. and Teresa Harris, John Patrick and Elaine Harris; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Winfred and Joyce Harris; sister, Marie Howard; six nephews and four nieces; as well as special friends, Douglas and Lois Smock. Curtis served two tours of duty in Vietnam while in the United States Army and then served in the National Guard. He was a kind, gentle, loving and generous father, grandfather, and man. He will be missed tremendously. The Military Honors will start at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2019, at Horne Funeral Home with an hour visitation with the family to follow. The family would request that any live flowers/plants that you may wish to send would be something that the family can set outside in the garden they are planting in memory of Curtis.
