Janeen Sylvia Scherer, 46, passed away at her residence November 20, 2017.
Janeen graduated from Kenmore East Senior High School in Buffalo NY in 1989. She attended Daimen College and received her bachelor’s degree in mental health social work.?She also studied at the University of Buffalo and received her master’s degree in social work and recently received licensure for private counseling.
Her professional career incudes, Erie County Social Services, Jefferson County Social Service. The Children’s Home of Jefferson County, and the Jefferson Community Clinic.
With a heart that always put others ahead of herself, she was passionate about the care and support for the disabled. She was also a devoted animal lover, active in many causes.
Survived by her parents Sharon and George Scherer, her brother and sister in-law Brian and Renee Scherer, her three nieces Ellen, Angela, and Elizabeth Scherer.?Service will be held at 11am, Saturday, November 25th at St Cecilia’s in Adams NY.?Flowers are welcome however, donations to the Watertown SPCA are encouraged.
Arrangements are with Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville.
