Doris J. Reneau, 89, of Chebanse, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at her home. She was born on June 25, 1929 in Kankakee, the daughter of Leroy and Mae McElheny Dionne. She married Ambrose Reneau on February 10, 1948 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kankakee. He preceded her in death on September 8, 2012.

Doris was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafts, traveling, and camping. She was a member of the Kankakee Sportsman Club and Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Chebanse. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Doris is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Michael (Ruth) Reneau, of Chebanse; three daughters and sons-in-law, Anna (Bill) Chouinard, of Chebanse, Mary (Dave) Regnier, of Bourbonnais, and Vicki (Ron) Gardner, of Chebanse; one foster daughter-in-law, Pamela Cordes-Redding; eighteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley Saathoff.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; foster son, Scott Cordes; and sister, Evelyn Love.

A memorial visitation will be held from 8:45 am until 9:45 am on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Chebanse. The memorial mass will begin at 10:00 am. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais.

Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
