CALEB'S OBITUARY
Caleb Alexander Smith, 17, of Indianola, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Caleb was born January 14, 2002 in Indianola to Craig and Michelle McCrory Smith. He was currently a Junior at Indianola Academy where he was very involved in athletics. Caleb and his team went on to win the State Championship in both baseball and football. Caleb was an avid fisherman and loved to make his own fly’s for fly fishing. He also loved bow fishing, hunting, and riding four wheelers. Caleb was member of 4H Shooting Sports. He attended M28, DNOW, and was sponsored to attend Chrysalis this summer. He was baptized at the age of 12 and was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church in Indianola.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Douglas Smith; step grandfather, Charles Randall, and maternal aunt, Jean McDonald.

Caleb is survived by his parents, Craig and Michelle Smith of Moorhead; two sisters, Caitlyn and Camryn Smith both of Moorhead; paternal grandmother, Rita Randall of Moorhead; maternal grandparents, Mitchell and Dorothy McCrory of Indianola; his MeMe, Pat Ellis of Moorhead; paternal aunts and uncles, Chris Smith (Corey) of Moorhead, Deleigh Daniel (Scott) of Indianola, Ken Johnson (Debra) of Indianola, and Lora Weed of Indianola; maternal aunts and uncles, Carl Hughes (Jackie) of Monroe, Louisiana, Robert Hughes (Anita) of Robin-Hood Lake, Ronnie Hughes (Diane) of Paducah, Kentucky, Frances Hood (Keith) of Belzoni, Linda Fike (Danny) of Grenada, Daisy Giachelli (Tommy) of Indianola, Stanley McDonald of Grenada, and Inez Roberson of Jackson; and a host of cousins.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Indianola Academy Gymnasium. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Indianola Academy Gymnasium. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
