A lifelong resident of Beaumont and a graduate of Beaumont High School she worked at the Beaumont State Center (now Spindletop MHMR Services) from 1971 until health concerns led to her retirement in 2007.
Janet taught academic and vocational skills to many people with mental challenges.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack M. and Margaret (Atwood) Lowe and her twin sister, Jane "Teester" Lowe.
Survivors include her husband, Randy Bryan; sister -in-law, Ellen Shepherd; brother-in-law, Richard Bryan; and niece and nephew Julie and Sid Myers.
