Mr. Tracy Carter, 91, died Thursday, April 18, 2019 surrounded by his family.
Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2019 at the Dillon Church of God, 536 Radford Blvd., Dillon. Burial with military honors rendered by the Veteran's Honor Guard will be held in Riverside Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Born in Dillon, South Carolina, July 11, 1927, he was the son of the late Clarence and Bessie Carter. He was a member of Dillon Church of God, and was retired after 34 years at Mohawk Industries (Dixiana Mills). He was a Veteran of World War II and Korean War.
Survivors include his son, Ronnie "Catfish" (Juster) Carter of Dillon, Michael (Katrina) Carter of Surfside Beach; daughter, Tammy Hooks (Jack Walker) of Florence; sisters, Annie Mae McDaniel and Frances Bailey of Dillon; special niece, Teresa Herring of Dillon; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
