Mrs. Gordon passed away Saturday, June 9, 2007, in Tyler.
Mrs. Gordon was born December 3, 1939, in Overton. She was one of 11 children born to William and Georgie Meyer. Alma was a graduate of Leverett's Chapel High School. She worked in ministerial work with her late husband of 37years, the Reverend Wayne Gordon. Alma was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly Church. She also taught at Calvary Way Academy and Day Care.
Two brothers, Tony and Clifford Meyer; her husband; and father, W.O. Meyer, preceded Mrs. Gordon in death.
Her mother, Georgie Meyer of Kilgore; three brothers and sisters-in law and five sisters and brothers-in-law, Kenneth and Dorothy Meyer of Kilgore, Terry and Debbie Meyer of Kilgore, Rodney and Regina Meyer of New London, Nona and Loy Gordon of Kilgore, Patricia and Buddy Shelton of Kilgore, Wanda and Lonnie Mitchell of Gilmer, Wilma and Glenn Barton of Kilgore and Debra and Robin Wheeler of Kilgore; three aunts; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive Mrs. Gordon.
