Mr. Grimes was born in Charleston, S.C., the son of Henry B. Grimes and Lois Johnston Grimes. He was retired and did odd jobs in Landscaping and Entertainment.
His love was music and he enjoyed OJ entertainment with his many friends.
Surviving are his mother, three brothers, Henry C. Grimes. James I. Grimes, both of Johns Island, S.c., Danny L. Grimes, Ravenel, S.C.: one sister, Brenda Roberts of Ravenel, S.C.; two step brothers, Reverend Henry Lane of Blackville, S.C., Bill Henderson of Lafayette, La. and one step sister, Betty Bellew of Goose Creek, S.C. Several aunts, Katherine Stephens, Paulette Botten, Linda Driggers, Lorene Shirar Alice Palmer, Billie Schuman and Virginia Felkel. Numbers of nieces and nephews and one great-niece.
