A native of Cleveland County, he was employed by Sherrill Furniture in Hickory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Felmet and Bertha Wright Felmet
Survivors include wife, Martha H. Felmet; daughter, Susan Little of Holly Springs; son, Brandon Felmet of St. Augustine, Fla.; stepsons, Jason Benfield of Granite Falls, Samuel West and Andrew West, both of Newton; sisters, Ruth Willis of Vale and Maggie Willis of Lawndale; brother, Jerry Felmet of Vale and grandchildren, Savannah and Candice Little, both of Holly Springs, Mackenzie and Sydney Felmet of St. Augustine, Fla., and Zachary Benfield of Granite Falls.
