Marilyn J. (Vollenhals) Cox, 88, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 29, 2018.

She was born on June 20, 1930 in Alexandria to Andrew and Mabel (Tomlinson) Vollenhals. She attended the Orestes Baptist Church. Marilyn was a homemaker and devoted herself to the care of her family. She married James Otis Cox on February 16, 1947 who preceded her in death in 2001.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter-Angie Cox, Siblings-Russell, Martin Earl, Richard and Jean Ann

Cremation has taken place per Marilyn’s request. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Monday, September 10, 2018 in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria at 3 pm. Shirley Cox will officiate.
