Mary (Dawahare) Dawhare, born on November 11, 1918 in Neon, KY to the late Srur & Selma Cury Dawahare passed away on April 18, 2019 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center. During her teen years she began her career working in the family clothing business, Dawahare's . She married Ed Dawhare in 1948 and in 1957 they moved to Hazard, KY. In 1963 they opened Tots and Teens children's clothing where she dedicated much of her time until its closing in 2003. During those years of retail business she made many lasting friendships. Mary attended St. Mark's Episcopal Church for over 60 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ed, sisters: Nellie Kawaja & Sybil Ajalat; brothers: Willie, Woodrow, Harding, Frank, Oscar Dee, Martin & Hoover Dawahare and two grandsons: Christopher Fields & Jimmy Lynn Maggard Jr.

Survivors include three children: Sondra (Jimmy) Maggard of Hazard, KY, Eddie (Norma) Dawhare of Hazard, KY and Tina (Mark) Fields of Richmond, KY; grandchildren: Toby (Rowena) Dawhare, Daniel Dawhare, Melissa (Tommy) Campbell & Patrick Turner all of Hazard, KY, Sean (Heather) Turner of Nicholasville, KY & Mark (Emily) Fields of Lexington, KY; great grandchildren: Summer, Izabella, Chace, Cydnee, Cordell, Blake, Megan, Katie, Abby and Annaleigh; one brother: A.F. Dawahare along with a host of family & friends.

Visitation will be from 2-4 PM Monday April 22, 2019 at Maggard's Mtn .View Chapel

Funeral will be at 4PM Monday April 22, 2019 at Maggard's Mtn. View Chapel with Father Bryant Kibler & Rev. Ellen Peach officiating

Entombment will be at the Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Hazard, KY

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Marks Episcopal Church in Hazard, KY or the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, KY
