Visitation will be Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 10:00 am until 10:30 am at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
A native of Lucedale, MS, he was a Retired SGT. Major in the U.S. Army and a member of First Baptist Church of Lucedale, MS . John loved to read, and frequent restaurants. He was a loving brother, uncle, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. Carver and Grace Stoddard Carver; and his brother in law, Neal Gibson.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Audrey C. Gibson; his niece, Stephanie (Robert) Youngblood; his nephew, John (Lyn) Gibson; his great niece, Mary (David) Ferrell; his great nephew, Ryan (Carla) Crider; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of John.
