Arnold Lee Jackson, 80, of Lukin Road, Pamplin, died Thursday, April 18, 2019, at his residence. He was the husband of Annie Lee Jackson.
Born in Craigsville, West Virginia, on April 5, 1939, he was a son of the late Manda Smith and Arda Jackson.He was a retired floor sander and farmer.
In addition to his wife he is survived by five children, Larry Wayne Jackson and Kasey of Pamplin, Theresa Zerphey of LaPlata, MD, Argatha Cook of Appomattox, Ardie Jackson of Evergreen, and Patsy Jester and Charles of Appomattox; 16 grandchildren, Mary Anne Jackson, Amy Jackson, Melissa Gilbert, William Gilbert, III and Amanda, Henry Porter III and Ana, Andrew Zerphey, Steve Blunt, Anthony Blunt, Brian Blunt and Lisa, Jennifer Long and Josh, Jessica Maddox and Ray, Sharon Davis and Travis, Shelly Piddington, Amanda Jester, Julie Dear, and Christopher Jester; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a brother, Richard Jackson and Loraine of Florida.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Della Griffey and Helen Mullins and two brothers, Gene Jackson and Larry Jackson.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2019, at Prospect Gospel Tabernacle by Pastor Gary Stoots. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
