Norma Hedrick Barnes was born on August 1, 1934 and entered her long awaited reunion with her parents and the love of her life, Robert Bennie Barnes, on September 21st. She leaves nothing but smiles on the faces of her extended family and many friends. She is survived by her three daughters, Debbie Trott (Marvin), Lee Rolen (Zack), Bonnie Sexton (Ronnie), and her sister, Joanne Hedrick Walker. Her grandchildren, Alice Rolen, Bobby Trott (Jennifer), Granger Shook (Mallory), Zack Rolen (Samantha), Tommy Trott, Penton Shook, Walker Rolen, Marlee Winn (Travis), and six great grandchildren. She lived a beautiful life full of love for her family, a love of gorgeous French hand sewing for her children, grandchildren, and many high school graduates, ran two dress shops, enjoyed her Alpha Delta Pi sorority sisters and Alabama football, but primarily set incredible examples for those she left behind. Her six grandsons will proudly serve as her pallbearers. An extra special thanks to her adopted daughter and caretaker, Brenda Blackmon, who lovingly referred to her as "Cupcake" for all her years of love, friendship, and devotion to her and our entire family. Donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Montgomery on Perry Street or Valiant Cross Academy 301 Dexter Ave. Montgomery 36104. Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 25 at noon following with a service at 1:00 at Southern Memorial Funeral Home.
