In addition to her husband, Mrs. Chandler was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one son in law, John Piekarski.
Survivors include one daughter- Sharon Piekarski of Pleasanton, CA; two sons- Spencer Stephen (Jackie) Chandler of Loda and Gary (DeDee) Chandler of Petersburg, IL; one half-brother- Roger Hinds of TX; two half-sisters- Marlene Bosh and Carlene Kincade; six grandchildren- Stacie (David) Bruens, Jeremy (Staci) Chandler, Susan (Mark) Jorgensen, David (Andrea) Piekarski, Elizabeth (Paul) Davis, and Brian (Morgan) Chandler; and seven great grandchildren, Bryce Bruens, Brayden Burens, Spencer Chandler, Rosella Chandler, Joanna Davis, Genevieve Jorgensen, and Jackson Piekarski.
Betty was a member of the Cissna Park United Methodist Church, enjoyed square dancing and worked at the Cissna Park Sale Barn for 29 years. She spent the last five years enjoying her time at Autumn Fields Adult Community in Hoopeston.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Cissna Park United Methodist Church with Pastor Molly Spence-Hawk officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service, from 10:00-12:00. Burial will follow at the Cissna Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Cissna Park United Methodist or Iroquois Memorial Hospice.
