She was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses in Lafayette, Tenn.
Born in Clay County, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late Pete and Ninnie (York) Kirby and the wife of Harvey Young, who survives. They were married Oct. 15, 1940.
Other than her husband, survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Joyce and Edd Brooks and Wilma McCarter, all of Red Boiling Springs, and Shirley and Charlie Cherry, Greenwood, Ind.; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Roger and Lucy Young, Tommy Young and Freddie Young, all of Red Boiling Springs; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
A sister, Gener Young, and four brothers, Ernest, Frank, Thomas and Lelan Kirby, all preceded her in death.
Burial was at the Whitley Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Michael, James and Roger Young, Jr.; Kenneth Books; Tony and Jeff Cherry; Steve McCarter; and Randy Gill.
